4 small changes you can make to stop back pain

So here are 4 small changes you can make to your life today, to help you avoid back pain.

  1. Get moving – Inactivity is a big problem for your health but also the state of your back. So you need to stop doing nothing all day and start moving. So make more tea, take the stairs, and walk to the shops and park at the back of car parks.
  1. Stop slouching – Slouching is not only unattractive but it is bad for you. So whether you’re on your phone, on the couch, in the office or on your commute stop slouching. Sit or stand up straight and watch your posture.
  1. 2 bags good, 1 bag bad – When going shopping it is all too tempting to place all you items in one bag, this leads you to carry everything on side of the body. Stop doing this now. Carry your items in 2 bags and evenly distribute the weight and the load.
  1. Lift well – We all have to lift heavy objects occasionally and it’s important to remember safe and effective lifting techniques when we do. So always lift with your legs and bend the knees and NEVER twist your back when carrying heavy things.
