But there are lots of “bad” habits that people pick up that sometimes contribute to or even cause back problems. And many people don’t recognise these as possible factors in the cause of their pain.

For example, not getting enough exercise can be solely responsible for long-term back pain, as can poor posture or even regularly sitting down for prolonged periods. Little things that you probably don’t even think about doing such as frequently wearing high heels or one-shoulder bags can also set you up for chronic back pain.
