Festivals have become increasingly popular with ones being held all over the country throughout the summer months. Whether you are young or old, into music, food or literature there will be a festival on somewhere for you to enjoy.
Our chiropractors at Pure Chiropractic in Staines want all you festival goers to enjoy and have fun this summer. With this in mind they have put together a watch list you can use to avoid causing your back unnecessary problems at a festival.
Carrying: Inevitably for many of us a day out involves carrying and if you are planning on spending a few days at a festival there will be even more things to carry! Consider using a rucksuck, as a properly adjusted one offers the best way to carry things. If you have more than one bag’s worth of stuff then split the load evenly across two bags to ensure that you can carry the weight evenly.
Comfort: There will be lots of standing around and also possibly a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes.
Posture: With all the standing and walking it’s easy to slip into slouching which is never good for our backs. Check your posture and readjust accordingly. Stand, whenever possible, with your feet shoulder width apart to give your back the best possible support.
Drinking: Remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
If you’re heading to a festival this summer our chiropractors in Staines want you to have fun and stay safe.
