Give Yourself Time

It usually takes around three to four weeks for a habit to become automatic, so don’t be surprised if you find the first couple of weeks the hardest. When the going gets tough, remember that in about a month you’ll begin to carry out your new habit without having to think about it, just like brushing your teeth or changing gear in your car.

Consistency is Key

If you want a habit to stick, you need to be consistent.  Try to put your new habit into place every day for the first 30 days. This will allow you to become used to it quicker.

Be Realistic

Trying to completely change your life in one go isn’t going to work. Instead of taking on too much, set yourself realistic targets that you know you are able to achieve.
